all my foundation sketchbooks got chucked in a skip at the end of last summer. saddest moment of my life. found this on my family computer, can't remember what it was about... ended up looking a patterns in dressing, did some sexy embroideries of these images, taken in a bed and breakfast in nottingham.

philly and i went on an adventure to Postman's park, the park in closer where natalie portman finds the name 'alice ares' on G.F Watts (a victorian artist)'s Memorial to Heroic Self Sacrifice. Though its not much of an adventure anymore with google maps....

the memorial is to people that died trying to save anothers life, apparently 'greater love hath no man than this, that he lay down his life for his friends. so many of the plaques remembered young people who died to save their siblings. eye watering.

also a new project 'play me, i'm yours' has put pianos in random places in london, incluing postmans park. was messing around on it to the applause of a toddler and her nanny.

chris's friend, james, pulled this out of a skip outside Bradford art college. such a beautiful beautiful object, filled with teaching slides from the 70s. it's all images of ceramics, teaching decorating, 'creativity', coiling, slabbing and glazing. all of the teaching notes were in the top of the box along with a sexy index card.

you always need carbs to curb a hangover. everybody needs pasta, so i made a carb-free hangover cure.
(i just remembered... i left these little Fimo clay pieces of pasta out on the table when i'd first made them. i took my eyes off them for merely a second and turned round to find yellow, claylike gunk hanging from my flatmate Philly's mouth. She'd popped one in there and chewed it up then asking 'are you meant to eat these?'. she'd thought that they were bombay mix.)

my tutor at the my end of year assessment had to remind me i was at art college and can therefore do what i want. i forget that. my last project was called 'gardens' i nearly cried. so of course, trying to be perverse, i took photos of feet and paving stones. didi't get much further than that in time to hand it in, but did end up with a sketchbook i love and so pretty beautiful images.

am on my 5th disposable camera in maybe a little over a month, have only worked out how to take photos in sublime sunshine. luckily the last months weather has been pretty delicious. getting a little bogged down in Boots blue photo wallets though. on the collageing theme i've started scanning them in as one image, though the main theme has to be animals... dogs? not sure where this has come from.
